The research direction of the Institute of Mathematics and Information Science is guided by national strategic needs and international frontiers of science and technology, relying on computer science and technology, information security, systems science, computational mathematics and applied mathematics, etc., and paying attention to cross-disciplinary intersection and integration. 


1、Hebei Machine Learning and Computational Intelligence Laboratory

In the aspect of scientific research grants, the college has undertaken more than 40 projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China; Nearly 130 provincial and ministerial level key and general projects, and scientific research funds is up to 40 million yuan; Meanwhile, there is 1 first prize of Hebei natural science, 3 second prizes of Hebei natural science, 2 third prizes of Hebei natural science etc. More than 50 scientific and technological achievements have been identified, all of which have reached the international advanced level. More than 10 national invention patents have been authorized. 

Publications:More than 2800 papers have been published in Siam, J. difference. Equations, appl. Math. Model. and other domestic and foreign journals, of which more than 1000 papers have been included in the three major searches, including more than 600 in SCI, and 23 academic monographs and teaching materials have been published.
